Lately, Iāve found myself dancing between a dozen prioritiesāeach one important,
each one tugging at my time and energy.
And somewhere in that swirl, I felt stuck.
Not the kind of stuck that shouts for attention,
but the quieter kindāthe one that lingers in your breath and bones.
The kind that makes even simple decisions feel heavy.
So I did something Iāve learned to do again and again on this creative journey:
I paused.
I took a breath.
Then another.
Then another.
And I let myself seeāreally seeāeverything Iāve been holding.
Not with judgment, but with gentle awareness. šæ
The Power of Creative Pausing
Thereās something magical that happens when we pause with intention. Itās not the same as numbing out or pushing through. Itās a conscious return to ourselves.
Itās a moment to say:
This is a lotāand Iām doing my best.
In the world of Creative You Wellness, we often talk about the life cycle of growth:
Create. Contemplate. Cultivate. Congregate. Celebrate.
This past week, Iāve been lingering between Contemplate and Cultivateāthat fertile in-between where clarity slowly begins to bloom.
Here is a Creative Spark to try:
⨠Mood Mapping with Color + Movement āØ
Hereās a practice Iāve returned to this weekāand one I invite you to try too:
š Mood Mapping (Glimmer Style)
1. Pause + Check-In
Close your eyes and take 3 slow, intentional breaths.
Ask yourself: What am I feeling right now?
2. Choose 2ā3 Colors
Let your intuition guide you. Donāt overthink.
These colors are simply reflections of your current emotional landscape.
3. Express on Paper
Use your colors to create lines, shapes, or abstract marks.
No need to make āartāāthis is about presence, not product.
4. Move the Energy
Set the page aside. Stand up and let your body move in response to one of your drawn shapes. Maybe a slow stretch, a spiral, or a sway. Let your body feel the expression.
5. Reflect
What shifted in your mood or energy?
Whatās one thing you can gently set down?
Whatās one seed you want to tend to this week?
This 10-minute glimmer is an invitation to move through "stuckness",
not by forcing action, but by reconnecting with your inner rhythm.
You donāt have to figure it all out today.
You just have to begin.
Pause. Breathe. Create. Repeat.
You are already in motion. š
⨠Sending out glimmers of hope,
Melissa
